When an incident occurs in another region and it is likely you will be receiving patients/clients from that region, activate its mutual aid agreement (if you have not already done so).
Note: Your regional administration should leave your mutual aid relationships inactive until you need them. In this way, another region does not have access to your region's information when there is no emergency or disaster.
In the Mutual Aid Activation page:
- The top table shows the regions to which a mutual aid relationship request has been submitted. These are the regions Juvare helped you set up.
- The bottom table shows the regions that have requested a mutual aid relationship with your region.
- If you want to allow users in another region to locate patients associated with your region, be sure to select the Allow Requester Locate option for that region.
To activate mutual aid
- On the upper right, click System Settings.
- On the left, under Other Settings, click Mutual Aid Activation. The Mutual Aid Agreement page opens.
- Select the Activated check box for the appropriate region in the Mutual Aid Agreement Request Made To and Mutual Aid Agreement Requested By sections..
- Add or change settings and/or facility providers for a mutual aid relationship:
Tip: For more information, refer to the Options and Facility Provider sections of the Mutual Aid Activation topic.- In the Mutual Aid Agreement Requested By section, locate the appropriate region and click its edit icon. The Update Mutual Aid Relationship window opens.
- Select or clear the Activated check box.
- Select or clear the Allow Requester Locate check box.
- Locate and select the provider in the left pane.
- Click the right arrow. The provider moves to the right pane.
- Repeat to add more providers.
- To remove a provider, select it in the right pane and click the left arrow.
- Click Save. The window closes.
