If you are authorized to do sohave appropriate permissions, you can create and manage events. Some administrators are also authorized to create and manage regions that span multiple regions. To manage any type of event, open the Event menu in the main navigation bar and then select Event Management. The Event Management page shows a set of details for each event, including the event icon, whether it is a multi-region event, and its status, start and end dates, title, and more.

Note the following about events:

  • Editing an active event generally includes updating the event details. For multi-region events, this can include adding and removing regions.

  • You can also schedule events to begin at a future date. This is useful for sporting events, training sessions, drills, and exercises.

    In addition, adding a resource to an active event and changing the regions associated with an active multi-region event also generate automated notifications.

    To edit an event

    From any page, open the Event menu and
    1. In the main menu, click Event and then click Event Management.

    3. Update Add to or change the detail for the event as needed.
    4. Click Next. The Select Resources page opens.Tip: Use the search feature in the Resources to Participate in This Event section to narrow the results that appear in the page and make it easier to identify the resources to be involved.
    5. If appropriate, add resources to this the event.
    6. Click Click Next. The The Select Status Types  page page opens..
      Tip
      Note: If you did not add resources in the Select Resources pageon the Select Resources page, you cannot make any changes to this page.
    7. If appropriate, add Status Types to the event.

    8. Click Next. The Ad Hoc Event Confirmation page opens, showing various high-level details.

    9. Click Yes to confirm your changes to the ad hoc eventYes.
