The data element setup feature allows you to manage values that appear in certain fields within EMTrack. In many cases, these fields are pick lists that offer the user a number of options from which to choose.
Note: The controls that appear in the data element configuration page depend on the type of field/data element you are viewing. The following guidelines may not address every option that can appear in these configuration pages.
To manage data elements
- On the upper right, click System Settings.
- On the left, under Other Settings, click Data Elements. The Data Elements page opens.
- Locate the element in the list and click its edit icon. The Edit Data Element window opens.
- To add a value:
- Click Add. The Add Division Choice window opens.
- Enter the Name.
- Select the appropriate Assign to option.
- Click Save.
- To edit a value:
- Locate and select it and click Edit. The Edit Division Choice window opens.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
- To delete a value, locate and select it and click Delete.
Tip: Be certain you want to delete the value. You cannot undo this action. - To change the order of values, take one of these actions.
- Select the Sort alphabetically check box.
- Select a data element and click the move to top, move up, move down, or move to bottom arrow.
- Repeat this step to move other elements.
- Click Save.
