Assets, such as pumps and generators, often include equipment that needs periodic maintenance to ensure it remains in working condition.

You can use EMSupply to identify these maintenance needs, schedule maintenance intervals, and record details when scheduled or unscheduled maintenance is performed. You can also record that an item was sent out for maintenance or repair, indicate it is currently out of service, and note in the system when the item is returned and available again.

Your administration identifies items and kits that can be maintained by including the maintenance attribute at the item type or item level. When set up on the administrative side, the Track Maintenance option appears in the item's inventory page.

Note: If you do not see the Track Maintenance field and you feel it should be enabled for this item, contact your administrator.

Selecting this check box enables maintenance features for the item, which are available under Maintenance in the Inventory tab.

The tab allows you to view items that are currently scheduled for maintenance, view those that are not yet scheduled, create a schedule, work with items sent out for service, and view maintenance history for an item. Refer to View Maintenance Records for more details and examples of these views.

In the Maintenance tab, you may be authorized to:

  • Change the Maintenance Schedule
  • Delete the Maintenance Schedule
  • Record Maintenance
  • Schedule Maintenance
  • Work with an Item that Needs Service
