Your solution allows you to record and track maintenance on items, such as equipment. Certain items need periodic maintenance to ensure they remain in working condition. Setting up this feature can help ensure that items are available and functioning whenever they are needed.

If you perceive your users will need to track any type of maintenance for an item type or item, add the Track Maintenance attribute. This is available in Optional Attributes when you are adding, editing, or customizing an item type or item within the category tree.

Adding this attribute does not automatically set up maintenance for the type or item. This simply allows your users to turn on these features for an item when deemed necessary.

When selected here, the Track Maintenance field appears in the item's inventory page.

If you or another user selects this check box in the inventory page, the item appears in the Maintenance tab. This action enables related features for this line item, including recording maintenance, scheduling it, and viewing maintenance history.
