In CORES HAN, organizations represent official entities and agencies with which you can be affiliated to receive notifications and be considered for recipient or user positions. You can register with one or more organizations. There are various organization statuses and roles that can be applied to your membership.
Organizations are accessed through the main navigation menu on the left, and you can view the entire list of organizations, search and filter the list of organizations, and drill down into organizations for more information.
When you first access the page, available organizations are listed alphabetically. Top-level organizations represent entities of the highest level and authority. However, organizations can contain child organizations, which are accessed using the arrow to the left of an organization’s name. This hierarchy is meant to reflect real-life structures and relationships between organizations.
You can quickly locate a specific organization using the filter options, which allow you to search for organizations by name or permissions. Simply enter the name in the search field or select the appropriate access level.
To get more information about an organization, click the organization name or row. The organization details appear on the right. In addition to the name, contact, membership, and history information is provided.
Only users with the highest level of permissions, such as System Coordinators, can create organizations.
Organization Membership
Organization membership identifies you as belonging to an organization with an Accepted status and the organization role of User, Messenger, or Admin. If your membership has not been accepted in an organization, you may be able to see some basic information about the organization, but you will not receive notifications from the organization.
You can belong to one or more organizations, depending on your HAN role and category, as well as your abilities and the needs of the organizations. Your role within an organization determines what information you can access about the organization, its members, and its notifications. A combination of your organization memberships and your system role determines what you can view, update, create, and/or delete in your CORES HAN solution.
By default, organization roles include the following permissions:
User
- Appears in organization recipient lists
- Can receive notifications
- Can access shared documents
Messenger – Includes all the rights of a User, plus:
- Can view, create, and send notifications
- View basic information on accounts
- View, create, and manage groups
Admin – Includes all the rights of a Messenger, plus:
- Can view and manage the full details on accounts
- View and manage organization details and membership
- View and manage reports
