Customer Administrators can move items throughout all sub locations within their domain. Region administrators can move items between all sub locations within the regions that they manage. Location Administrators can move items from one sub location to another within their location.
Moving inventory can come in handy when an item was added to the incorrect sub location, or you need to redistribute items within a location. In other cases, for example if a storage location is no longer available, with a few clicks you can move all items from that sub location to another.
On the Move Inventory page:
- Each inventory batch is a line item in the
- The Quantity column automatically shows the quantity at the current sub location. You can change this number if you want to move a portion of the available
- If you move the entire quantity of an item to another location, the item disappears from your current sub location. If you move only a portion of the inventory, the line item remains, and the Quantity shows the number
To move items
- On the Inventory tab, click Manage Inventory. The Manage Inventory page
- Click change location. The domain hierarchy window opens.
- Locate and click the sub location.
- Click change destination to choose the new sub location for the items.
- To find the item or kit you want, do one or both of the following:
- Enter all or part of the item or kit name in the Search field.
- If you know the item's category, open the Category pick list and select
The list shows the line items that match your criteria.
- To move one inventory item at a time:
- If appropriate, change the Quantity you want to move.
- Click the line item's move A note indicates the item has been moved.
- Repeat these steps for any other items you want to move.
- To move all items at once:
- Click Move All Inventory.
- Click Yes.
