As Customer Administrator, you can move a kit template from one item type to another. This can come in handy when you are building a kit and realize that you meant to place it in a different branch of your category hierarchy.
Note: You cannot move a kit that currently has inventory associated with it.
To move a kit template
- On the Settings tab, click Categories. The Categories page opens.
- Open the hierarchy to locate the kit or search for the kit.
- Select the kit. Its details appear in the right pane.
- Click Move Kit. The Move Item to another Item Type window opens.
- Open the hierarchy to the new location (item type) and select it.
- Click Move Item. The left pane shows the kit in its new location in the hierarchy.
