User Links

Provides ready access to one or more websites or forms. See the section below.

Menu Bar

The main navigation bar provides access to key tasks, such as viewing resources and updating your preferences. You can quickly open your default view by clicking the home icon  on the far left of the menu bar.

Note: The menu bar shows only those features and options that are appropriate for your user role and permissions in the region.

You can point at the header name, such as View or Event. A drop-down menu opens. Select an option to open that page. In the example above, the user is about to select Event Notification, which opens that user's event notification preferences page. You can also click the header name (rather than an option in the menu) to view your options in another format. In the following example, the user clicked Preferences.

The Preferences Menu page opens. Click a link in the Menu Option column to access that option.

Title Bar and Action Buttons

The title bar appears just below the main navigation bar. This area shows the title of the page you are currently viewing, and provides access to page-related tasks you can perform (if any).

In this example, you are viewing the Regional Default view. You can refresh the page by clicking that link. The task buttons that are available depend on the content of the page as well as your access to application features. Other task buttons can include show map , customize , print , excel (export), and page-level help All EMResource views refresh themselves automatically every three minutes, including the map view. Any interaction with the application forces a refresh, including clicking the refresh button.

User Links

Your administration may have chosen to set up User Links . The links provide easy access to websites, EMResource forms, and/or the Manual IPN Entry page (used to enter an incoming patient notification).

These links can appear in one of two places:

  • In the information bar, to the right of the Log Out link. When links appear in this area of the page, they are referred to as Quick Links.
  • In the main navigation bar, on the right.

In the information bar, you can point to an icon and a tooltip opens, telling you about the link. Click the link to open it in a new window. Alternately, in the main navigation bar, point to User Links. A drop-down menu opens and you can click one of the options. The website or EMResource form opens in a new browser window.
